What we're going to do for the Christmas Party!
Hi,
I just wanted to say what we're going to do at the party! In tricks and treats, we're going to play a game! In art, we're going to make a Christmas Poster! In reading we're going to read a story about a dog! In gym, we're having relay races. We'll have a little rest for nap time and have lots of yummy treats! Finally in Free Time we're going to open our presents. Remember your pet has to bring a present from $1.00 to $3.00 (see gift suggestions). We'll have lots of fun at the party! I hope you and your pet can make it! Remember it's on the 23rd. Merry Christmas!

Yay Pictures are finally done!

Pictures are finally ready! They are super cute! I took them by the Christmas tree and they sat on a paw print blanket. I will give you the pictures with our next newsletter. The pics will also be in the memory books.

Memory Books?
Hello,
If you were wondering when the memory books are going to be ready, I think they will be ready by late January or Feburary. They only cost $2.00 and they are packed full of pictures, memories, activities, and much more! It's a very good way to remember this year in D+A! Soon we are going to send home something called a treat order that I send home with the newsletter. It's like a book order, but you can order treats and toys! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Extra help Classes
Hi,
If your pet needs any extra help with anything they can take these classes or you can email me if your pet needs help with something else besides these classes.
Potty on floor class- your pet should take this class if they go potty on the floor. I will potty train them how to go outside slowly. It works and this class is only $1.00!
Homework Help class- your pet should take this class if they have trouble doing homework or you don't have time or cannot do their homework with them. I will spend time teaching them how to do tricks and getting their homework done. It works and this class is only $0.75!

Sorry about Pictures
Hello,
I'm sorry about the pictures. They would have been ready a long time ago but we forgot to take the camera to the store for it to get developed. We finally did and then picked up the pictures at the store after a few days and they didn't turn out. I forgot to use the flash and they were all black. Now the next time we have D+A we're taking the pictures with a digital camera and it will only take a day to get them and they will turn out a lot better. The pictures will be here any day now.

If you pet wants to prepare for the first test this is what they need to know! The first test is very easy. This is a mini worksheet.It's very easy and short. The difference between an assignment and a worksheet is that an assignment needs to be done and a worksheet is just for extra practice but it's good if you do the worksheets!

Some fun crafts you can make for your dog and you!
Here is some awesome crafts to make for your dog or for you!
1. Stuffed sock chew toy:
Materials needed:
First, fill the old sock with stuffing. Next, tie the end of the sock. Next soak the sock toy in beef juice till it's wet. Then let it sit and dry out so the beef juice is soaked into it. Then once it's dry if you want sew on some buttons for eyes and a nose. If you want decorate it with whatever you want! Have fun with it!
2. Doggie picture frame
Materials needed:
First, paint the picture frame if you want. Next glue the treats on the frame however you want them on it. It you want, paint the treats too. Now decorate if you want to! Put a picture of your pet in the frame!
3. Doggie Placemat

First, glue the wrapping paper onto the paper if you want. Then glue on the picture(s) of your pet. Then add the glitter and other decorations if you want. Then when you are done, laminate it and use it as a placemat for your dog!

Another thing is coming up we have some days called bonus days! We have three kinds of bonus days. The first one is called, bonus sticker day. What student has the best behavior at the end of the day gets an extra sticker. The second one is called bonus treat day. Same thing as the first but they get a treat at the end of the day. The last one is called bonus toy day and it's very rare. It's the same as the others but the dog who is best gets a new toy and a sticker!!!

D+A Christmas Party!
Hello Everyone,
This is just a reminder about the Christmas Party coming up on the 23rd of December! What we're going to do for Art we're going to make a Christmas Poster. I don't know what we're going to do for Tricks and Treats yet. We're going to do laps for gym to Christmas music and relay races. We're going to have lots of yummy snacks too and a rest for nap time. Some Helping Activities for your pet
Hello,
These are some things that your pet may have trouble with in this quarter. If they do you can get extra practice using some of the things below!
These are some things that your pet may have trouble with in this quarter. If they do you can get extra practice using some of the things below!
- Finding hidden treats- all you have to do is hide a treat in a very easy spot, for example sticking out from under the rug so they can see it. After they have found it there then just keep doing it harder everytime. If you need help with this I will help them do it too.
- Doing Tricks- get some treats that your pet really likes a lot. Then do the trick that they have trouble on. For example if they have trouble dropping a toy hold up a treat and then if they really want the treat they will drop the toy. Once they have dropped it, give them the treat and say good job in a nice voice. If your pet cannot do a trick, just kind of push them to do it. For example if they cannot sit, push their behind down and then when they are sitting give them the treat. I will help too if you need it.
- Laying down and settling down (without barking or whining)- Have them lay down with you (they like to lay with you more than they do alone). Then pet them and sing to them or calmly tell them a poem or a story. If they still won't calm down, just lay there and pretend you are sleeping, the dog will get bored and lay down eventually. The dog will not lay down if you get up or start yelling, the dog will probably think you want to play. If you need more help I will help too.

December Field Trips and Parties!
Hello Everyone,
Coming up in December there's lots of fun activities that we are going to be doing.
12-13-08: Pet Expo Field Trip- Sorry but we might have to cancel this trip because of money :( .
We are going up to Mankato to Pet Expo to get a toy and maybe some treats. We will probably go on a walk too! It will be very fun.
12-20-08 or 12-27-08: Sledding Field Trip- It depends on how much snow we have and what the weather is like but we are going sledding at Five Lakes Elem. If you have a big dog bring their harness if they have one, because they can pull us on our sleds. I will hold the small dogs. It will be very fun!
